Adrian Cox, 87, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Service: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas.

Visitation: 6:00–8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Biggers Funeral Home.

Born in Nolanville, Texas, to Rev. Homer and Annie Lou Cox, Adrian grew up with a deep appreciation for hard work, craftsmanship, and community—values that shaped every chapter of his life. He attended Texas Weslyn University and Texas A&M receiving a bachelor degree.

He had a lifelong love of old cars and was an enthusiastic member of the Model A Club. Whether he was tinkering in the garage, building something, or fixing what others thought couldn't be repaired, Adrian found joy in creating and restoring.

His professional life was as varied as it was meaningful. He worked as an accountant, ran a Chrysler dealership, taught auto mechanics, building trades, and finance. Adrian later retired from Crowley ISD, leaving behind a legacy of mentorship, patience, and practical wisdom.

Adrian and Sherrie were members of Crossing Fellowship in Azle since 2019 and made several lasting friendships and connections.

Adrian was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Homer and Annie Lou Cox; his siblings, Karen Welch, Joe Cox, and his twin brothers, Carroll and Carl.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Sherrie Cox; his children, Brandie and Brendan Smith, and Chris and Stacy Cox; his grandchildren, Emily and Zack Nearn, Matthew Santana, Caden Cox, Courtney Cox, and Cody Cox; and his great grandchildren, Violet Nearn, Ivy Nearn, and Damian Nearn. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will carry his memory forward.

Every place Adrian visited he loved to make the people laugh and chat whether it was the pharmacy, hospital, doctors' office or post office. His outgoing personality will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Adrian's life was defined by service, curiosity, and a generous spirit. His family and friends will remember him for his steady presence, his gifted hands, and the way he made every person feel valued. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
