Obituary

Our beloved Alberto Rios Jr. (A.K.A. Berto) tragically left us on January 17, 2024.

Memorial Service:  10:00 am, Friday, February 23, 2024, Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Berto will truly be missed by us all. He had countless friends in various communities and touched many lives throughout his lifetime. Berto had a heart of gold. He could put a smile or give a helping hand to anyone he came across. He always looked for a way to see how he could help others despite what he was dealing with. He had a contagious laugh, loved to dance, travel, go to concerts, and be around his family and friends. He loved anime, Harry Potter movies, and just laying out in the sun next to the pool to list a few things. When it came to dressing nice, no one had better style. He could really dress to impress. His go to work out was running, the trails on Trinity was his work out room at one point. Gymnastics was a sport he enjoyed and even coached in. Doing running or standing backflips he could do with ease, walking on stilts was a random talent of his. He could drive standard, ride motorcycles, ride a horse, was a good swimmer, snowboard, ice skate, roller skate, and was definitely someone you wanted on your team when it came to volleyball. He had a goofy side and was funny. Conversations with random people were normal and easy for him, he could hold a conversation with anyone. Music, he loved all genres Spanish, Country, EDM, Alternative Rock, anything he could sing or dance to was for him. Cooking was another hobby of his and he could really cook. We hope reading this you learned a little something about him you may not have known. He was a talented young man, he was real, and we were fortunate to have him for the time we did.

He leaves behind his mother, Silvia P. Cooper, stepfather, Steven Cooper, sister, Angelica Rios, sister-in-law, Victoria Irlas, brother, Adrian Rios, sister, Jessica Saldivar, brother-in-law, Ricky Saldivar, brother, Luis Rios, brother-in-law, David Shrock, nieces, Ava and Aaliyah Saldivar, and his grandmother, Maria Palacios, among other family.

We lost a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. His memory will live on through us. May you rest in peace my beautiful son. We love you so much.

We will leave you with one of his favorite quotes," Be the reason someone believes in the goodness in people ."
