Alice Marie
Bowen
Aug 26, 1944 — Jul 2, 2023
Alice Marie (Rogers) Bowen passed away from this life on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at her home in North Richland Hills surrounded by her family. She was born August 26, 1944 to Cecil H, Rogers Sr. and Marie Elizabeth (Hanna) Rogers.
Service: 10:00 am, Saturday, July 15, 2023 in Biggers Funeral Chapel, 6100 Azle Avenue, Lake Worth, Texas
Interment: following service at Mount Olivet, Fort Worth, Texas
Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00, Friday, July 14, 2023 at Biggers Funeral Home.
Alice graduated from Lake Worth High School in 1963. It was there she met the love of her life, Don Bowen and they were married on June 19, 1964. They celebrated their 59th anniversary this year while she was in the hospital.
She was an active member of the PTA when her children were in school and was an honorary lifetime member. Alice also worked as a floral designer for several florists in the northeast area.
When her grandchildren came along she devoted her time to caring for them. She attended as many of their activities as possible. Another of her favorite things was going to see "Her Boys" in the Band Cooder Graw. She and Don traveled all over Texas to see them.
For several years Alice met once a month for lunch with a group of ladies who called themselves "LOLs", or little old ladies. Probably her and Don's most enjoyable times in later years were spent at Winstar and Border Casinos. It was not uncommon for them to stay all night if they were on a winning streak.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Cecil H. Rogers Jr.; beloved daughter Kimberly Ann (Bowen) Masters.
She is survived by her husband, Don; daughter, Melissa Le and husband Tam; son-in-law, Jimmy Masters; grandchildren Benjamin Masters and wife, Jenna, Dr. Brandon Le, Zachary Le, and Kaycee Le; and many of her daughters' friends who spent countless hours at the house, and still call her "Mom".
