Alice Witzscher Carr, age 87 of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Saint Peter Lutheran Church, 15701 Cleveland-Gibbs Road, Roanoke, Texas 76262.

11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Lunch and fellowship in the barn at Church.

Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington, Texas

Alice was born July 28, 1936 in Hamilton, Texas to August and Frieda Witzscher. Alice met and married Bobby Carr on January 24, 1954. They moved shortly after to Grand Prairie where they raised their four children. She was a stay-at-home mom until their youngest started school.

She then went to work for Bowman Distribution for the next 30 years until she retired. After retiring, she enjoyed playing chicken foot dominoes with her friends and babysitting her grandkids. Alice absolutely loved spending the holidays with family and friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Carr; her parents, August and Frieda Witzscher; brother, Wilford Witzscher; sister, Deany Marwitz; and her loving daughter, Donna McKelvy.

She is survived by her son, Ricky Carr (Jane); daughters, Wanda Nickison (Robert), Gaylon Baze; her beloved grandchildren, Mark Dearing (Brandi), Nathan Hamilton (Holly), John David Dearing (Danielle), Amanda Ortega (Ralph), Kim Zamarripa (Jay), Brian Carr (Kelli), Andrea Swilley (Tyler), Bobbie Jean McKelvy; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Marwitz (Gaylon) and Katherine Hopper; many nieces and nephews she really loved.
