Amelda Lois Hill, 88, left this world peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
There will be a celebration of her life at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 23, in Biggers Funeral Chapel, 6100 Azle Avenue in Lake Worth.
Amelda Lois Sellers was born in Palo Pinto County. She was one of five children born to Jesse and Lily May Sellers. She was married three times and had eight children. Her career included many types of work, but her most fulfilling was the role of Mother and caregiver.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon D. Hill; son, Christopher Phillips; brothers, Jesse Jr., Warren, Pat, and John Sellers; and son-in-law, Melvin Milburn.
Survivors include her children, M.L. Phillips and wife, Pat, Mary Milburn, Margaret Shackelford and husband, Dan, Leah Lingo and husband, Jimmy, Sue Hill, Gordon Hill Jr. and wife, Sandee, Barney Hill and wife, Delores; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
