Ann was born on December 30, 1927, in Frederick, Oklahoma to August and Rena Schrick, Anna was the second of eight children.

She grew up on the family farm, where she developed a strong work ethic and a deep love for the family. Anna graduated from Frederick High School in 1945 and worked at the local hardware store and helped raise her younger siblings after graduation. She met the love of her life, Henry Caron, through her sister in Wichita Falls, Texas and they were united in marriage on November 8, 1952, in Frederick. Henry, a dedicated member of the Air Force, and Anna lived in several places along the way before settling in Lakeside in 1968 with their five children. They became active members of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, where Anna's faith was sustained until her death.

Anna was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother (Nana), and great grandmother (Gigi). She cherished family gatherings, doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and visiting with loved ones and friends. Her volunteer spirit shone brightly as she dedicated time to St. Joseph Hospital and the food pantry at St. Thomas over the years. Anna was a devout Catholic, her faith unwavering, and she found joy in numerous bible study groups and church events.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed many adventures with her children and grandchildren and was the definition of the family matriarch. In her golden years, she found delight in visiting casinos with her dear friend Pat McWilliams, trying their luck on the penny slots. Sometimes they would take a bus over the Red River and other times her children would join in the fun, creating cherished memories.

Anna's bright smile could light up any room, and she maintained her kindness, compassion, and immense gratitude for her blessed life full of love, family, and faith until the very end. Anna spent the last two years living at Legacy Oaks of Azle where she made many new friends that lived and worked there. They were all amazed at her independence and loved her warm smile.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, August and Rena Schrick; her husband of 35 years, Henry Caron; brothers, Paul and wife, Imogene Schrick, Kenneth and wife, Willetta Schrick, and Frank Schrick; and grandson, Jonathan Blake Whitaker.

She is survived by her children, Phillip Caron and wife, Liz, Phyllis Caron, Linda Caron and husband, Blake Whitaker, Leone Caron, and David Caron; her brothers, Terry and wife, Mary Schrick, Ed and wife, Marilyn Schrick, Michael and wife, Patsy Schrick, sister, Patricia Edwards, and sisters-in-law, Irma Schrick and Theresa Coffin. Her legacy will also continue through her eight grandchildren, Jennifer Stork and husband, Jarrett, Heather Willmann and husband, Adam, Melissa Wright and husband, Justin, William Glass, Katie Gillham and husband, Jeff, Christopher Ball and wife, Melissa, Rachael Wenokur and husband, Kyle, and Spencer Caron; fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also loved her dearly.
