Anne Blake (Rigg) Carlson, better known as Annie by those who knew and loved her, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025.

Memorial Service: 11:00 am, Saturday, May 24, 2025 in Biggers Funeral Chapel, 6100 Azle Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76135.

Annie was born and grew up in Tucson, Arizona, and maintained strong ties to her hometown throughout her life. After high school, she worked at KZAZ, a local TV station where she made lifelong friends. Annie graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in marketing and psychology.

Following graduation she moved to Houston where she worked at Data Point in marketing, where she met her future husband, Tom, and moved to San Antonio. There she worked at Time Warner cable.

Annie continued her career at Time Warner and after a few years, Annie and Tom relocated to Palm Desert, California, for her position as Vice President of Marketing. A few years later they returned to Azle, Texas, where Tom continued his business, E-Mag, and Annie retired from business, but became involved in many local charities.

Annie's volunteer work in Azle included helping as a docent at the Azle Wildlife Refuge Center Azle, Azle Animal Shelter and most recently working with Good News senior assistant organization.

Annie's charismatic personality always attracted people to her. From a young age, she befriended people from all walks of life. Throughout her life, Annie liked to help the elderly and those in need, taking meals and giving companionship to those who were home bound or lonely, without any fanfare. Often at Christmas, she would leave "secret Santa" gifts for employees at a local grocery store that had become her friends! Annie had a truly generous and giving spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Charlotte Rigg, and her older brothers, Steve and Mike.

Annie is survived by her beloved husband, Tom Carlson;  sweet schnauzers, Quiggy and Gordy; sister, Susie Rigg Wasley and Greg; sister-in-law, Anita Hanson and Gordy; and seven nieces and nephews Steve, David, Jonathan, Kelly, Stephanie, Erin and Megan; as well as seven grandnieces and nephews, many cousins, and countless friends.

For many of those she left behind, Annie exemplified the true meaning and value of being a friend. To her family, Annie was the glue that held us all together - with laughter and ability to find the good in all. She will be dearly missed by all who know her.
