Bennie D. Springer, 71, a retired United States Air Force master sergeant, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal with military honors will be at Saginaw Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Bennie was born in Rosebud on May 15, 1942. He had lived in the Fort Worth area since 1983. He served with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for 12 years. He is survived by his children, Teresa S. Pate of Saginaw, Danny E. Springer of Forest Hill, Maryland, and Timothy L. Springer of Azle; stepmother, Shirley Springer; siblings, Carolyn Holland, Betty, Mike, Gene and Dan Springer; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
