Beth "Nadene" Knapp Vaught, 60, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026. Born February 21, 1965, in Skagway, Alaska, she lived a life marked by deep faith, unwavering love for her family, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew her.

Beth graduated from Hot Springs High School in the Class of 1983 and went on to attend Western Montana College in Dillon, Montana. It was in Dillon where a pivotal moment in her life occurred - on March 19, 1984, Beth was led to the Lord by her best friend Darla Christian. This moment ignited a lifelong devotion to her faith that would define much of her life's purpose and joy.

Before she started her life in Texas, Beth spent precious time in New York as a nanny where she took care of Rikki and Matthew Blindman, whom she lovingly often referred to as her "first kids".

Beth shared a loving marriage with her husband Dan Vaught for 33 years. Together they built a home filled with warmth and kindness. She was a devoted mother to their three children: Bethany, Adam, and David Vaught.

For over three decades, Beth was a faithful member of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Lake Worth, Texas. Her commitment to the Lord extended far beyond church attendance; she served and taught actively in many capacities. Whether leading a class or lending a helping hand behind the scenes, Beth's dedication to her church community was steadfast and heartfelt.

A woman of many talents and interests, Beth found joy in crocheting and crafts, and especially in teaching them to others - often creating beautiful handmade items that reflected her creativity and care. She enjoyed bowling and basketball as well, bringing energy and enthusiasm to everything she did. Yet perhaps most defining was her gift for making others feel welcomed - her loving nature made everyone feel seen and accepted.

She is also remembered with love by her mother, Brenda Merritt; children, Bethany, Adam, and David Vaught; siblings, David Merritt, Mary Shores, Gary Merritt, and Roger Merritt; as well as many others whose lives she enriched through friendship and fellowship.

Beth was preceded in death by her father, Albert Knapp; stepfather, Wallace Merritt; sister Rawlene Knapp; and brother, Wayne "Buddy" Knapp.

Beth "Nadene" Vaught will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and inspiration to all who carry forward the light she so freely gave.
