Betty E. Duke, 65, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012, in Azle. Service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment: Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart and Stroke Association, 2601 West Freeway, Suite 250, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Mrs. Duke was born in Coleman and had been an area resident since the late 1970s. She was a homemaker and seamstress. She enjoyed bird watching, making doll clothes for her granddaughter and playing board games with her grandson. She is survived by: Her husband of 46 years, James Duke; children, Daniel Duke and wife, Paige, of Bedford, Wendy Duke Ayers and husband, Ric, of Azle and Kim Ubinger of Azle; sisters, Brenda Keeney McMurtray of Azle and Linda Keeney Butler of Port OConnor; grandchildren, Amber Ubinger, Collin Duke, Alexandra Duke and Collin James "C.J." Ayers; and a number of nieces and nephews.
