Betty Melissa Everett, 54 of Fort Worth, passed away peacefully October 29, 2019 in Keller. Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, November 1, 2019, Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76135. She is to be buried in Suitland, Maryland in the Washington National Cemetery alongside her parents and brother. Betty was born March 1, 1965 in Washington, DC to Howard L. Everett and Althea Lee Everett. Betty graduated high school and continued vocational training until age 21. She worked briefly at the CIA agency on Bolling AFB, Washington DC before moving to Murfreesboro, North Carolina. She later moved to Fort Worth in 2004 to live with her sister and brother-in-law. Betty was a happy and joyful person; her infectious personality was a magnetic attraction that resulted in lasting friendships. She loved to sing, dance and listen to music. She enjoyed food especially hamburgers and french fries which was her absolute favorite. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and gentle spirit. The family would like to thank and recognize the ladies and staff at O'Hara House and her friends at Meaning of Life. Everyone that knew Betty loved her and will forever miss her. Betty is preceded in death by her parents: Howard and Althea Everett and her brother: Kelvin Everett. Betty is survived by her sisters: Denise A. Edwards and husband, Martin (aka Martin Payne), and Millicent N. Marble and husband ,Sherman; niece: Arikka D. Harakal and husband, John; nephews, Aaron Marble and wife, Marie, Tony Marble and wife, Ebony, Martin Edwards, Jr. (JJ) and wife, Tyraeia; great- nephews and nieces, and countless other family members and friends.
