A devoted wife and mother, she lived a life defined by grit, hard work, and a steadfast commitment to her family and faith. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

Betty was born in Newark, Texas on December 14, 1928, and moved to Haslet at 3 weeks old where she was a lifelong resident. Betty spent her life rooted in faith, family and hard work. For 71 years, she was the cherished wife and partner of Wayne Knox, a dedicated farmer and rancher. Together they cultivated not only the land but also a family filled with love, values and unwavering faith in God.

A true Proverbs 31st woman, Betty was the heart of her home. Everyday she rose before the sun, preparing three hearty meals for her family and anyone who needed a place at the table. From sunrise breakfast to mid-afternoon field meals and delicious dinners, she nourished not just their bodies but also their souls with her unwavering dedication.

Through every challenge, long days in the fields, lean seasons, and life's uncertainties above all, Betty loved the Lord and served him through her daily life. A longtime member of the Haslet Church of Christ, she lived her faith in action, always lending a helping hand. She served faithfully on the Haslet City Council for 14 years.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Knox and Roger Knox; sister, Leota Lasater; grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her legacy of love, faith and hard work.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Knox and daughter, Becky Carroll.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ Haven's Children Home, reflecting her deep commitment to serving others and sharing the love of Christ.

Her children arise and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praises her. Proverbs 31:28
