Bettye W. Bennett joined her beloved husband in Heaven on Monday, December 19, 2016. Funeral services will be held at10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 22, at the First Baptist Church of Lakeside. Private family interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Baptist Church of Lakeside, 8801 Jacksboro Highway, Fort Worth, Texas, 76135. Bettye was a member of First Baptist Church of Lakeside. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan D. Bennett. Bettye is survived by her children, Elizabeth Gail Bennett, Marsha Rector (Greg) and Alan D. Bennett Jr. (Sarah); grandchildren, Matthew (Shonda), Andi (Mike Ramey), Grace, Maddie, and Conner Bennett; great-grandchildren, Devan and Drew Bennett.
