Billy Joe Jetton, 89, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, a mentor to many, and a friend to all, died peacefully December 09, 2020, at his home in White Settlement. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday at Biggers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: 2:30 p.m. at Benbrook Cemetery. Visitation: Friends are invited to celebrate Billy's life at his viewing on Sunday Dec 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Biggers Funeral Home. Born February 22, 1931 in Fort Worth, Texas to James Roy Jetton and Ruby Mabel Williams Jetton, Billy enlisted in the US Air Force in 1951. After discharge, he began a very prosperous career of 44 years at Convair, (once known as General Dynamics and now known as Lockheed Martin), where he retired from. He would also help his wife, Jane, the owner of Cherry Lane Flowers. After retiring, Billy spent his many remaining years enjoying what he did best supporting his community while being a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Billy was a caregiver from beginning to end. He loved his children Roy, Karen, Kathy and Timmy dearly. He was blessed with 29 grandchildren, whom he adored. To say Billy had a servant's heart would be an understatement. In his younger years, he organized the girls softball league, and you could always find him at the baseball field. He was always helping where he could. Whether he was performing his duties as a Sunday school teacher, or serving as a volunteer at Liberty Elementary, he always had a smile and never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his warm wit, his facetious sense of humor, his wildly entertaining stories, his endless love for family and his infectious kindness; a trait for which many who knew him claim to remember the most.
