Billy Reed Porter, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on Thursday, March 19, 2015, after a brief illness. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Azleland Memorial Park. He retired after many years as a millwright electrician at General Motors. He was preceded in death by Norma Porter, his wife of 50 years. Billy is survived by his loving daughters, Judy Martin and husband, Randy Martin, Donna Mills and husband, Curtis Mills and Robin Perkins and husband, Jimmy Perkins; brother, Gordon Porter; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends who will long remember this loving gentleman and have wonderful stories to tell for years to come.
