Billye Abbatteen Evans Sherrod, 85, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 12, 2015, surrounded by her family. Service: Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: A recitation of the holy rosary will commence at 5:30 p.m. Friday with visitation following at Biggers Funeral Home. Billye was born January 17, 1930, in Comyn. She was member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church for more than 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William "Bill" Emmett Sherrod Sr.; daughter, Penny; son, "Wes"; and sisters, Pachola and Waydeen. She is survived by: Her children, Linda Robinson and husband, A.C., Martha Simmons, Beth Beason and husband, Andy, Edie Frizzell and husband, Mike, John Sherrod and wife, Dot, Patti Powell and husband, Danny, Greg Sherrod and wife, Renee; 28 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
