Bobby Lee Lorentz, 68, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at home with his loving family by his side. He went to be with the Lord after a hard-fought battle with brain cancer. Service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal: 3:30 p.m. in Terral Cemetery in Terral, Okla. Visitation: The family wll receive freinds from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made in Bobbys name to The American Cancer Society, 3301 W. Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76107; or Community Hospice of Texas, 1301 Pennsylvania, Fort Worth, Texas 76104. Bobby L. Lorentz was born May 17, 1944, in Ryan, Okla., to Otis and Mable Lorentz. He spent his childhood in Terral, Okla. In the early 1960s he moved to Azle, where he met his lovely wife Beth and they spent their remaining years with their boys and family. Bobby served his country in the Oklahoma National Guard. He was an ironworker by trade and started his own successful construction company in the late 1970s. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Mable Lorentz; sister, Alice Jane Lorentz; and brother, Doyle Lorentz. Survivors include his wife, Beth Hooper Lorentz; sons, Heath Lorentz, Steven Lorentz and wife, Tara; granddaughter, Kira; brothers, Junior Lorentz and wife, Cynthia, Gene Lorentz and wife, Mary Jo; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Thompson and Lee Wakeman; brother-in-law, Roy Hooper and wife, Johnnie; adopted family, Marsha and Jim Watson; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; two aunts; one uncle; and many cousins.
