Interment: 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2026, Azleland Memorial Park, Azle, Texas
Bobby was born April 26, 1940, in Waco, Texas, to Clarence Truett Ludwick and Myrtle Florence Kilgore. As the youngest of seven children, he grew up in a lively household and learned early on the importance of family, hard work, and a good sense of humor.
On March 9, 1963, Bobby married the love of his life, Patricia Jones Ludwick. Together, they shared a beautiful, devoted marriage spanning 63 wonderful years, building a life anchored in deep love and mutual dedication.
Bobby was a skilled craftsman and a well-known local business owner, operating Lakeside Plastering for over 35 years. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his passion for speed and cars of all types. For ten years, Bobby was a fixture in the local racing community, driving race cars in the Azle area where he won multiple races and proudly brought home numerous trophies.
Beyond his work and hobbies, Bobby’s true joy was people. He loved spending time with his family and had a rare, infectious gift for connection. Bobby never met a stranger he couldn't joke around with, making friends everywhere he went and leaving a trail of laughter in his wake.
He was a deeply proud and loving "Pappaw" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He delighted in being their biggest fan, rarely missing a game, recital, or activity, always cheering them on with a beaming smile.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Myrtle Ludwick; his brothers, Harold Loyd Ludwick, Lavaughn (Pete) Ludwick, James Carol Ludwick, and Billy Doyle Ludwick; and his sisters, Wahnell Wigley and Dorothy Evelyn Miller.
His legacy of love, laughter, and devotion lives on through his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Trish) Ludwick; his daughter, Tonya Ludwick Turner and her husband, Rod; his son, Brian Ludwick and his wife, Kandi; and his 8 cherished grandchildren and 14 adored great-grandchildren, along with a host of dear friends who will miss his warmth and quick wit.
