Obituary

Brian Kenyon, age 47, of Fort Worth, Texas, was born on July 22, 1976 and died February 9, 2024. His parents, David and Gloria Kenyon, lived for his first nine years in upstate New York, before moving the family to Tustin, California.

Memorial Service:  2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024, Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Brian graduated in 1998 from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Finance. He entered the world of Business and Cybersecurity in 2000 taking a position with Foundstone, which was later bought by McAfee. In the ensuing years Brain rose in the ranks of his company as it merged with other companies including Intel, Blue Coat, and Symantec. Most recently, he worked as a founding member of Island, also a cybersecurity company. Brian made these transitions as part of a team that remained close colleagues, fellow dreamers, and close friends. He for years served as Chief Strategy Officer. Brian co-authored two important books in the field: Security Sage's Guide to Hardening the Network Infrastructure with Steven Andres and Security Battleground: An Executive Field Manual with Michael Fey, Kevin Reardon, Bradon Rogers and Charles Ross.

In 2004, Brian met Christine, the love of his life on the rowdy streets of the French Quarter, New Orleans. After a wonderful and whirlwind year-long engagement, they were married December 2, 2007 in Manhattan, New York, in the company of beloved family and friends. After falling in love with Christine, Brian also fell in love with Lauren and Bennett, and in 2012, officially became their father.

In addition to his love for Christine, and Lauren and Bennett, Brian was an intrepid adventurer and traveler, visiting with Christine scores of wonderful destinations. All who knew Brain experienced a man of powerful intelligence, quick wit, and great heart.

In addition to his parents, Christine, Lauren and Bennett, Brian is survived by his brother, David, sister-in-law, Heather, Nephew, Jack, and his beloved furry children, Huck and Mattie.
