Brian Mark Listman, loved father, grandfather, partner, and friend, died Sunday, June 30, 2024.

Brian was born November 4, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Kenneth and Carole Listman. He graduated from Perry Hall Senior High in 1979 and attended the University of Delaware until 1983.

Brian then moved to Texas, where he continued a career in software development. He worked at Seville Training Systems and consulted at Bell Helicopter and other Dallas-area companies. He eventually joined American Airlines, where he continued to work for the rest of his life, 38 years, leading a team of software programmers for pilot training.

Brian was an avid baseball fan and coached little league for Tri-Cities teams for many years. He also enjoyed fishing, playing hockey, collecting and restoring Hot wheels cars, and playing online video games. Through these hobbies, he made many friends.

Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Carole Listman, and his brother, Glenn Listman.

Brian is survived by his children, Jeffrey Listman and Suzan Hawkins of Garland and Jonathan Listman of Oklahoma City. He and their mother, Kathleen Listman, shared life together for 29 years before separating. Brian found great delight in his granddaughter Elliott "Ellie" Listman. She thought her "Big L" was particularly funny, and his smiles were the biggest when she was in the room. He shared the last four years of his life with his partner and friend, Tracy Dunn, and her children, Anna and Aaron Noland. His sister-in-law, Susan Listman of Haltom City, was a great supporter and sharer of stories.

Brian counted many of his friends as his family, including Benji Chaichinda, Joe and Monica Martinez, Suey Haelig Schwertz, and the Rowell brothers of Louisiana. He built lasting relationships with his coworkers through his years at Seville and American Airlines.
