Candace Rae Smith, 34, of Palestine, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018, in Dallas, TX. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2018 at Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Biggers Funeral Home. Candace was born December 26, 1983, in Azle, to Holly Sandlin and William Tinney. Candace was born with many physical challenges but she had more determination than any of them. She was very strong and courageous. She used her strength to help others, even those who no one else would help. Her compassion for people and animals is not easily matched. She cared deeply for everyone she talked to and would passionately fight for them. She truly showed Christlike character to many people that she met. Candace will be missed so much but we are grateful for the time that we had with her. Candace was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Ronnie Smith; Grandfather, Larry Tinney; aunt, Wendy.
