Carol Susan Rice Peugh went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 4, 2012, after a year-long battle with brain cancer. Her loving family was at her side.
Service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Carol was born November 15, 1946, in Deming, New Mexico. At the age of 2, the family moved to Lake Worth and it was at Lake Worth High School that she met her future husband, James W. Peugh. The two raised three children, Carol Lynn, James Lee and Daniel Keith Peugh.
After receiving teaching degrees from Texas Womans University and North Texas State University, she began a 30-year career in education that culminated with her retirement from the Irving Independent School District in 2006. Carols hobbies included reading, sewing, knitting and raising Black Angus cattle on the family farm in Paradise.
She was blessed to have a loving and supportive family as well as many caring friends. She will be missed by all whose lives she has touched.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll Lee and Susan Agusta Rice.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years; her three children; mother-in-law, Imogene Peugh; brother, Robert Lee Rice; nephews, Robert Lee II and Timothy Lynn Rice; niece, Stacy Suzanne Rice Kraai; daughter-in-law, Amy Peugh; grandsons, David James and Daniel Charles Peugh; and granddaughter, Madeline Elizabeth Peugh.
