Carol Jean Sexton, age 79, passed from this earth on September 8, 2022. Graveside Service: 11:00 am, Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Biggers Funeral Home Carol was born December 22, 1942 in Watertown, South Dakota, to Joe Barthen and Freda (Porter) Barthen. Carol married Silas Sexton and together they had two sons. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. Her hobby was collecting dolls and she loved everyone she collected. During her spare time she would watch true crime shows. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Freda Barthen; her husband, Silas Sexton; and her siblings, John Barthen, Edward Barthen, Enid Nevins and Betty Barthen. Carol is survived by her two sons, Steven Sexton and his wife, Christine and Tony Sexton; grandchildren, Silas Sexton, Seth Sexton and Tori Sexton; brothers, Larry Barthen and Bruce Barthen and his wife Cecilia.
