After a long battle with Dementia, Carolyn "Memaw" Johnson went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday August 30, 2023.

Service:  2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 5, 2023 in Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Committal:  1:15 pm, Friday, September 22, 2023 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.

Visitation:  1:00 to 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 5, prior to the service.

Carolyn will be missed deeply. Her life revolved around family, and she was a homemaker most of her life. Her home was always open to anyone from her son's friends growing up to her grandchildren's friends. She loved the Lord, and when her health kept her home from church services she would watch her church on television, 24/7 if she could.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Martin; father, Dean Martin; and brother, James Martin.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Edgar Forrest Johnson Jr.; sons, Ellis Johnson and wife, Denita, and Dennis Johnson; grandchildren, Elizabeth Dees and husband, Michael, Danielle Johnson, and Edgar Forrest Johnson III; brother, Sam Martin; niece, Sheri Martin, and niece, Marchell Nunnery and husband, Robert; and various other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
