Cathy Ann Pomering Thompson, 56, formerly of Rockford, Illinois, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012, in Fort Worth. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 4, at Biggers Funeral Chapel. Cathy Ann Pomering was born in Newport, Rhode Island, to John and Maryana Baptista Pomering. She lived in Rockford until she moved to Azle in 1992. She married Russell W. Thompson May 26, 2006, in Azle. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Russell Thompson of Azle; son, David Sterner and wife, Kim, of Paradise; daughters, Jill Sterner, Diedra Rigdon and husband, Doug, of Azle; brothers, Dan Pomering of Jacksonville, Florida, Don Pomering and wife, Debbie, of Rockton, Illinois; grandchildren, Samantha Sterner, Jenna Dalley, Jaymee Dalley, Harley Sterner and Hope Rigdon; and great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Sterner.
