Service: Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2021, in Boonsville Cemetery, 6425 F.M. 920, Boonsville, Texas C.D. was born in Post, Texas on March 9, 1931, to Clarence Ward Carpenter and Esther (Browning) Carpenter. He was the former Sheriff of Tarrant County and was very passionate about his job. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Esther Carpenter. The family would like to express a "Special Thank You" to his grandson, Harrison Carpenter, who was his caregiver. Survivors: He is survived by his children, Donna Burton and her husband, Bruce, Larry Carpenter and Penny Evans; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother, Jackie Carpenter and his wife, Peggy; his sisters, Melba Mahon and Eddie Lockabay.
