Hs is survived by his wife, Lois Eileen Alford; his children, Myrna Zielke and Carey, Marcus German, Mary Anderson and Ray, Myra Markwell and Don, Melissa Alford, Melinda Jordan and James, and Marvin Alford and Jennifer; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Boutz, Ruth Callier, Vera Farmer, and Verna Kephart.
