Cecil C. McCullough passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 21, 2018.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Saginaw.
Burial: Aurora Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home.
He was born April 27, 1936 in Gentry, Ark. Cecil grew up in Missouri, and moved to Louisiana in his late teens where he began his music career, playing with such greats as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis, to name a few. He travelled as a musician for several years, living his life as he wanted. Cecil moved to Texas in the mid 50s where he spent the rest of his years. He retired from Northrop Grumman in 1993, and continued to play music well into his seventies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Edeth; his older brothers, Leon, Lawrence, Johnny, and daughters, Pamela McCorkle and Vannita Mayberry.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Agnes McCullough; brother, Wesley McCullough and wife, Pat, sister, Grace King and husband, Everett; son, Wes McCullough and wife, Alma; daughter, Theresa Sloan; son, Sean McCullough and wife, Eva; grandchildren, Stephanie Cline, Ali McCullough, Brandon Sloan and wife, Ashley, Ian McCullough, Christopher McCullough, Sean McCullough Jr; seven great-grandchildren; many other family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him dearly.
