Charlie A. Livesay, 88, passed away Sunday, October 9th, 2016, at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 13, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Charlie was born on January 29th, 1928 in Jonesville, Virginia. The oldest of 5 children, Charlie was in the Air Force and later graduated from Texas Tech with a bachelors degree in electrical engineering. He retired as a civil servant who was instrumental in the development of the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the Surveyor Lunar Craft.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, and his son Howard.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Mercedes; his six children, Marco, Henry, Carl, Charles, John, and Victoria. He is further survived by his sister, Virginia; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
