Chester Oren Darden passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

Graveside Service: 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Ash Creek Cemetery, 310 South Stewart Street, Azle, Texas 76020.

Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Avenue, Lake Worth, Texas 76135.

Chester was born November 13, 1935 to William and Lena Darden in Fort Worth, Texas where he grew up.

He served in the US Army from 1954-1956. Chester then met and married Norma Jean Taft and in eight short years they became a family of six.

His career began in the aeronautics Industry in 1964 at Aero Commander in Oklahoma City. He moved his family back to Fort Worth in 1966 and went to work for Bell Helicopter Textron, retiring after 36 years.

His hobbies were spending time with his family, along with his love for hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, and always enjoyed a good fire.

Chester was preceded in death by his father, William Darden; mother, Lena Darden; brother, Joe Darden; and his sister, Joyce Arizpe.

He is survived by his children, Pam Crist and husband, Larry, Mike Darden and wife, Julie, Jacki Daniel and husband, Danny, Darla Parnell and husband, Jerry; sister, Mae Campbell; brother Jerry Darden and wife, Betty, sister, Jean Trower and husband, Earl; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
