Obituary

Christopher James Lott, 49, of Fort Worth, Texas, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on July 18, 2023.

He was born on October 24, 1973, to James Robert Lott of Missouri and Marilyn K. Delerio of California.

Lott joined the Navy in 1994, where he was assigned to the USS George Washington as a Navy Aviation Ordnance man. He received Naval recognitions such as National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal, Battle Efficiency "E" Ribbon, and Meritorious Unit Commendation.

Chris married his wife, Kathy Jo Lott, in 2001.They had two children, Rece James (20) and Chase Jerry (15).

In 2001, he began his career at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. In December 2021, Chris medically retired from BNSF as a Senior Manager of Bulk Operations. Before his diagnosis, Chris enjoyed fishing, golfing, swimming, reading his Bible, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Lott is survived by his wife, Kathy Lott; sons, Rece and Chase Lott; his father, Bob Lott;, Stepmother, Jean Adams; mother, Marilyn Delerio; his aunt, Diana Delerio Pfitzer; his uncle, Gary Lott; and his cousins, Sean Wheeler, Michael, Denice, and Kathy DeLance ; as well as his extended family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Kimberly Lott; his uncle's, Phillip "Bo" Lott and David Lott; his aunt, Jeanne Covina; and his grandparents, James and Ethel Lott.
