Obituary

Cinda Ann Rhodes-Hopp of Azle, Texas, was called home to be with our Lord on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the age of 76.

Memorial Service:  10:00 am, Monday, December 9, 2024 in Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Cinda's story began as Cinda Ann Norem, born to Chester and Jean Norem on April 17, 1948, in a small north-central Illinois community just west of Chicago known as Sandwich, Illinois. Moving to Lake Wales, Florida, she became active in choir while in high school, as music would become one of her many passions throughout her entire life. She graduated from Lake Wales High School in 1966 and pursued a nursing degree, graduating from Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1970. She would later get her License Chemical Dependency Counselor license in the mid 1980's and become a manager/director of a clinic. She truly loved that position and loved helping people. She also made many long-lasting friendships with the people she worked with.

Becoming Cinda Ann Rhodes in 1969, she moved with her husband, Bill, and settled in Azle, Texas, in the early '70's. Working on growing the family, Ariana Faith was adopted in July of 1974. The subsequent adoption of Shane Ashley followed in January of 1980. Marrying her second husband, Mike, Cinda would become Cinda Ann Rhodes-Hopp in 1989 and stepmother to Steve Logan.

Azle is where Cinda would spend the remainder of her days, pursuing her passions that included her children, grandchildren, reading, dancing, watching movies, raising animals, gardening, being a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority-Chapter Xi Nu Omega, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

Cinda was preceded in death by and her husband, Mike Hopp; her grandmother, Blanche Hickey; parents, Chester and Jean Norem; brother, Stormi Norem; and stepson, Steve Logan.

Cinda is survived by her beloved Pomeranian, Palee; children, Ariana (Joe) Salas and Shane (Buffie) Rhodes; grandchildren, Chandler, Zane, and Jaxon; nieces, Kristi (Nick) Dymond, Kate Norem, Kari (Chris) Hohner, Kelli (Dustin) Olsen, Nina (Ray) Oller, and Crystal (Ryan) Green; nephews, Mark Hopp Jr., Myron Hopp Jr., and Matt (Sarai) Hopp, with many additional nieces and nephews by marriages.
