Clarence "Ray" McKown, age 68, laid down his working tools and went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2023.

Graveside Service: 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Visitation: 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Avenue, Lake Worth, Texas 76135.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations can be made to Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Shrine Hospital for Children, Texas Masonic Retirement Community, or a charity of your choice.

Ray was born in Fort Worth on August 24, 1954 to Robert and Frances McKown. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

He proudly served in the US Air Force from June 1972 through December 1979. Ray then became an F-16 aircraft mechanic on the flightline for General Dynamics now Lockheed Martin.

Ray was a past Master of Lake Worth Masonic Lodge #1410, a charter member of Sweet Home Lodge #576, Ridglea Lodge #1341, Ridglea Chapter #485, Ridglea Council #400, Worth Commandery #19, York Rite College, Fort Worth Valley Scottish Rite, Moslah Shrine, North Fort Worth Chapter #684, O.E.S. and Tejas Council #282 AMD.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents Robert McKown Sr. and Frances McKown.

His is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diane McKown; sons, Jim McKown, Jason McKown and wife, Jamie; daughters, Amber Carr and husband, Jeremy, and Megan King and husband, Jay; grandchildren, Ashley, Haley, Payton Dameon, Devon, and Jonathan; brother Robert McKown Jr and wife, Helen; uncle, Jimmy Gilbert and numerous other family and friends.
