Coy Pennington was born on June 19, 1948, and peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

Service: 11:00 am, Saturday, September 6, 2025, Lake Worth Baptist Church.

Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas.

Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, September 5, 2025, Biggers Funeral Home.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Coy later moved to Lake Worth, Texas, where he attended school. An outstanding athlete, he played football and baseball, earning the admiration of his classmates. It was in Lake Worth that he found the love of his life, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years and together they had two children.

Coy began his plumbing career in 1969, when he was chosen to join the Plumber and Steamfitters Union Local #146. He retired in 2017 as a plumbing inspector for the City of Fort Worth.

Throughout his life, Coy was deeply active in the Lake Worth community. He was the first president of the North Texas Youth Association and served as a coach and commissioner for the Lake Worth Youth Association while his children participated in football, baseball, and cheerleading. He served on the Lake Worth School Board, Lake Worth Masonic Lodge No. 1410 and as a city council member. He was also an active member of Lake Worth Baptist Church. Coy dedicated much of his life to service and community involvement.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Coy loved spending time outdoors with his son. He cherished moments with family playing ping-pong, wahoo, and cards. Coy was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather, and he adored his two granddaughters and two great-grandsons with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Delpha Pennington.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Pennington; son, Coy Pennington Jr. and daughter-in-law, Lisa; daughter, Franchele Phillips and son-in-law, Bradley; grandchildren Ashley, Cody, Tori, and Beni; great-grandsons Eli and Easton; as well as his sister, Corabeth Copeland Etbeleh, sister-in-law, nephew's, niece and numerous other family members.

Coy will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed but forever treasured in our hearts.
