Curtis Lee Naragon, 63, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in Azle, Texas. Born on December 17, 1961, in Akron, Ohio, Curtis lived a life marked by dedication—to his country, his family, and the many friends who were fortunate to know him.

Interment: 10:15 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2025, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.

Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025, Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76135.

Curtis proudly served in the United States Air Force for eleven and a half years. Rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant, he served during the Persian Gulf War and was deeply honored to wear the uniform of his country. His service was not only a point of pride but a defining chapter in his life. With an honorable discharge, Curtis made the difficult decision to leave active duty so he could care for his two children at the time—a testament to his unwavering commitment as a father. Even later in life, he sought to re-enlist, driven by his enduring sense of duty and patriotism.

Curtis was known for his tireless work ethic—he worked hard and often found humor in how much he both loved and loathed it. His job took him across the country, where he made it a point to seek out new and interesting places to eat. He had an adventurous palate and enjoyed discovering local gems wherever he traveled.

When not working or traveling, Curtis cherished time spent at his favorite pub with friends. He had an infectious spirit—super silly by nature—and was known for breaking into spontaneous dances that brought laughter to those around him. His ability to lift spirits with just a few words or gestures made him someone people would naturally gravitate toward.

Curtis had a deep love for animals, especially cats and wolves. This affection reflected his own nature: fiercely loyal yet gentle-hearted. He extended that same compassion to people, always ready to lend a hand or offer support without hesitation or judgment.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Mildred Naragon; sister, Corrine Russell; son, Jerry Naragon and daughter-in-law, Robin Cooley; daughter, Nicole Naragon Howard and son-in-law, Casey Howard; daughter, Kaitlin Naragon; and grandsons, Dalton Howard and Falcon Howard.

Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Naragon and brother, Chris Naragon.

A man of great heart and humor, Curtis built lasting bonds with countless friends—many of whom he considered family. His legacy lives on not only through those who share his name but also through all who carry memories of his kindness, laughter, and unwavering support.
