Darrell Daniel, of Arlington, Texas, born July 19, 1960, in Harlingen, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

This God loving man was fearless in everything he did, he rode bulls in his teens, drove trucks in his twenties, learned to fly crop-dusting planes, and later worked as an iron worker.

A small man with a big heart, he loved everyone he met, cherished telling his many life stories, and was passionate about the Lord, family and friends. He worked hard for those he loved, was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, papa, and friend, and he was deeply loved.

He loved riding his motorcycle, cooking out with family and friends, never met a stranger, and always offered his advice on life and work. In his later years, his passion was escorting wind turbines on the road with his road family, whom he loved as his own.

Darrell was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Jeffrey; his father, Wilbur Daniel; his stepfather, Charles Jeffrey; and his father-in-law, Oscar Starbuck.

He is survived by his three sisters, Amy Robertson and George, Reyna Judd, and Kim Bednorz; his wife of 40 years, Laura Willhelm; four children, Misty Jowers and Luther, Amanda Holden and Gerald, Clovis Willhelm and Mellody, Tara Defonce and Robert; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date - to be determined.
