Darwin L. Brooks, 84, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at 1 p.m. in Chico Cemetery in Chico. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Biggers Funeral Home. Darwin was born August 29, 1930, in Chico and was a longtime area resident. He retired in 1995 after 30 years with Lockheed-Martin and later taught basic assembly procedures at A.T.I.P. before again retiring. He is survived by his wife, Lee Brooks; children, Paul Brooks, Goldia Henson, Steve Brooks, Billy Brooks, Annie Lominac and Mary Kibodeaux; stepchildren, Ronnie Wolff, Claudia Smith, Martin Wolff, Debra Shaw, Michael Wolff and Brenda Freeman, also Jim, Kay, Sue, Nancy, W.A., and Detta, Cathy and Carolyn; sisters, Lavenia Berryman and Patty Campbell; brothers, David Brooks and Everett Brooks; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
