David Laurence Antwiler, age 61, received his healing, left us earth side, and entered the Kingdom of God on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 9:44 pm.

Service: 2:00 pm, Monday, February 24, 2025, Eagles View Church, Fort Worth.

Visitation: 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Sunday, February 23, 2025, Biggers Funeral Home.

David was born on May 30, 1963, to Larry and Margaret Antwiler in Fort Worth, Texas. David grew up in Hurst and Bedford, Texas. Although he would tell you his real home was Grapevine and was affectionately called the Mayor of Grapevine by his Baseball Family. David graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1981. David's greatest gifts in life were his sense of hospitality and having the biggest servant's heart. In the last 20 years David has opened his home to more than 9 families in order for them to have a safe place of refuge during their time of need. He was known to call his wife, Ashlee, and tell her that he needed to financially help someone, even if they didn't have the funds themselves. David would always figure out a way to help.

David married Angela Russie in 1981 and together they had their daughter, Candice. He then married Lisa Gurn in 1987 and together they had their two boys, Christoper and Brandon. In 2004 David married Ashlee Tubbs. Through this marriage he gained his 4th child and 3rd son in Brendan Woods. Together David and Ashlee had the baby of the family Christian.

David was car a salesman for Jerry's GM in Hudson Oaks, Texas for 20 years. His style of sales would have to be considered 'concierge service'. He always rolled out the red carpet for every customer, no matter what their financial status may have been. He was not in the business to make money, but to serve people, to be the hands and feet of Jesus and shine His light. He always considered The Dealership his mission field.

David's hobbies included, starting Bible Studies with co-workers, his family, his friends and his neighbors. He would open his home and host many gatherings such as, Friendsgiving, Friends Christmas, Fall Chili Cookoffs and Coach Appreciation Dinners. David loved bringing people together. He often spent his and Ashlee's wedding anniversary celebrating with his family and friends. One of David's greatest loves was the beach and planning yearly trips for his family and friends. Everyone was always invited to join in on the trip. David was a sandcastle master and took great pride in honing his skills to build the best sandcastles possible, not for himself but for everyone else.

David loved his family immensely. David loved being a father and grandfather and deeply cherished his kids and grandkids. He would proudly boast about them to anyone who would listen. He proudly attended each of their events and was always the loudest one cheering them on. God and family were the center of David's everything.

David's heart and big personality will be greatly missed by his friends and especially by his family. David was a friend, father, and big brother to everyone he loved.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James "Mac" McCurdy and wife, Mary LaMay McCurdy; his brother, Brett Winston Antwiler; uncle, Donald Lee and wife, Lisa Lynn Gurn; and his father-in-law, Albert Doyle Tubbs, and father-in-law, Eddie Kennemer.

He is survived by, his father, Earl Laurence "Larry" Antwiler and his mother Mary "Margaret" McCurdy Antwiler, his wife, Ashlee Tubbs Antwiler; children, Candice Stevens and husband, Asher, Christopher Antwiler and wife, Destiny, Brandon Antwiler and wife, Bailie, Brendan Woods and significant other, Jordyn Samples, and Christian Antwiler; his grandbabies, Anthony Griffith and significant other, Skye Desiderio, Trista Wobig, Liam Stevens, Zola and Zylah Antwiler, Brynn Woods, and Thatcher Antwiler; sister, Laurie Louis Goyen and husband, Douglas; mother-in-law, Joy Luttrell Tubbs; mother-in-law, Nancy Schneider; sisters-in-law, Angela Herrera and husband, Brian, Amber Baze and husband, Rex, Melissa Winkle and husband, Andrew; brother-in-law, Andrew Tubbs and wife, Kari Jo; nieces and nephews, Garrett and Blake Goyen, Brittany Herrera and husband, Alan Strong, Brayden and Brenley Herrera, Abigail Elizabeth and Rowen Baze, Kaylie Jo Hubbard and Rylie Jo Tubbs; aunts, Carolyn Gay Lee, Ann Nations and husband, Dennis; uncle, James "Jimmy" McCurdy and wife, Shirley; aunt, Carolyn Pafford; cousins, Ronald Lee and wife, Maria, Kristie Seekins and husband, Mark, Misty Meredith, Danielle Nations, Robert, Ewen and Darian McCurdy, Chris and Clay Slaughter, Mary Barber, Janna Jones and husband, Rich Jones, Ryder Jones; God daughters, Cora and Molli Ledgewood and many, many friends and his chosen Framily.
