Obituary

David Alan McWherter, 69, of Euless, Texas, left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 2, 2023.

Celebration of Life to honor David will be Thursday December 14, 2023 at 10 a.m. Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76135

David was born March 5, 1954, to the late William and Edna McWherter, in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. He grew up in Massachusetts, California, Louisiana, and Texas, relocating each time with the family's changing military assignments.

David graduated from Castleberry High School in Fort Worth then attended Trade School. He enjoyed a career as a Certified Sales Specialist at a Material Handling company until he retired.

David will be remembered as a patient, soft spoken, kind, and Godly man who loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He treasured spending time with his children, grandchildren and extended family members. David enjoyed cooking, cycling, traveling, especially the Grand Canyon and Gulf of Texas.

The family is grateful for the work Christ brought throughout David's life. He was blessed beyond measure. He leaves behind a grieving family who will forever hold dear their memories of him.

David is preceded in death by his father, William H McWherter and Mother Edna M McWherter.

David is survived by the love of his life and wife of 11 years, Theresa; son, William Herbert McWherter III; daughter, Jessica Angelique Call (Robert); grandchildren, Judah McWherter, Iris McWherter, Nicholas McWherter, and Ender Andres; sisters, Eileen Hoffman, and Linda Addington, (Darrell); nephews, Marshall Addington, (Sara), Ryan Bethune, (Tiffany); niece, Megan Bethune: aunt, Betty Hopson as well as many beloved cousins, family members and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of UT Southwestern Hospital Dallas and Harris Health South Hospital of North Richland Hills.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to The American Heart Association and The Union Gospel Mission of Fort Worth.
