David Wayne Metzger, 80, passed away, Friday, August 27, 2021. He met the love of his life, Sandra "Sandy" Faye Crockett and they got married July 20, 1983 and together they have three children, Patricia, Colleen and Julie. David graduated in 1992 from Dallas Baptist University with his master's in finance. He loved to work around the house, doing yardwork and growing all kind of different plants. He also loved collecting stuff, as they say, "one man's trash is another man's treasures". He was a man with a calming spirit, very kindhearted and loved his family more than life itself. David was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Candace Tart. He is survived by his wife, Sandy; his children, Patricia Tart and her husband, JR; Colleen Metzger and Julie Maslen; his grandchildren, Ryan Tart and his wife, Kendall, Rachel Justice and her husband, Chris, Collin Maslen and Troy Maslen; this great grandchildren, Talan Tart, Jaxson Tart, Kohen Tart and Gracelyn Tart; his brother, Larry Estes and his wife, Dori; his sister, Polly Dykes; and his nephews.
