David Wayne Rather, 57, passed away at home May 25, 2019 due to natural causes. Visitation 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, May 31,2019, Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76135. David loved Racing cars, and music. He was a mechanic starting out at the age of six using an electric drill. He also put his family first and loved helping people when he could. David also leaves behind two dogs, Radar of 11 years, and Baby of 8 months. David was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Roseanna Rather, his brother, Doug Rather, and his sister Steffany Chandler, several grandparents, aunts and uncles. David is survived by his wife Carol Sue Smith Rather, two step-daughters Heather Arnold and Husband Perry Hudson, and Susan Heaton. 5 Grandchildren, Ericka Simich, Michael Heaton, Matthew Heaton, Taylor Arnold, Sara Heaton. 1 Great Grandchild, Sutton Rose Simich.
