Obituary

Dennis Raymond Haney, 65, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025 at a local hospital after a long and courageous battle with heart disease and cancer.

Visitation: 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, July 11, 2025, Biggers Funeral Home, Fort Worth, Texas.

Service: 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 12, 2025, Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Interment: Bluebonnet Memorial Park, Colleyville, Texas following service.

Dennis was born March 10, 1960 to Billy and Raymonde Haney in Arlington, Texas. He attended Sam Houston and Lamar High School before graduating in 1978 from Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas. He joined the U.S. Navy and served from 1979 to 1983. Whilst enrolled, Dennis received the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Sea Service Ribbon, and a certificate of recognition for serving in the Cold War. Afterwards, he served in the Naval Reserves for 6 years.

Dennis met his wife, Teresa Ludwick, when they both worked at Arlington Memorial Hospital. They married January 9, 1988, and had one child. Dennis enrolled in college and received an Associate of Applied Science in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology from Tarrant County College on May 9, 2013, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington on May 8, 2024.

Dennis enjoyed country music, science fiction, B-movies, sitcoms, travelling, and spending time with family, we are deeply saddened by our sudden loss but finding peace in knowing he is no longer suffering.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Billy Gene Haney; brothers, Daniel 'Danny' Lee Haney and Ronald 'Ronnie' Gene Haney; nephew, Lee Daniel Haney, and aunt, Louise Sullivan.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Haney; son, Ithiel Haney; mother, Raymonde Marie-Thérèse Haney; niece, Heather Haney; numerous relatives, and many lifelong friends.
