Donna Kay Chasteen
Power
Mar 15, 1945 — Jul 15, 2026
Donna Kay Chasteen Power, 81, took her last breath on this earth on July 15, 2026.
Visitation: Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2026 at Biggers Funeral Home.
Service: 3 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026 in Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Donna was born March 15, 1945, to John and Beulah Chasteen in Fort Worth, Texas, where she and her sisters grew up.
On September 2, 1960, she married the love of her life, Jimmy (J.P.) Power, and together they became the proud parents of David Wayne and Angela Bea. Most recently, Donna and Jimmy celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
Donna's faith was unshakable. Over the years at Precious Faith Temple, she taught Sunday school, mentored young girls in Missionettes, and enjoyed singing and worshiping with lifelong friends.
Donna enjoyed talking with her customers during her many years while working the front counter at Brothers II and Longhorn Cleaners, where she became a friend and confidant to many who visited.
A caregiver throughout her life, Donna spent many years taking care of family members, driving them to doctors' appointments, and offering kind companionship to those around her.
The joy of Donna's life was spending time with her family. She wrapped her grandchildren in love and support, and each shared a special relationship with her.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Elsie Jean Solomon, Audrey Jo Larson, and Jo Ann Hale; her sisters-in-law, Juanita Power and Mary Power; and her brother-in-law, W.D. Power.
Left to cherish Donna's memory are her husband, Jimmy Power; her son, David Power, and his wife, Pam; her daughter, Angela Ferguson, and her husband, Doug; her grandchildren, Christy Power, Jeremy Power, Ashley Pringle, Shane Ferguson, Sara Rogers, and Eddie Power; her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Leilah, Lyric, Luke and Ari; her great-great-grandson, Levi; and her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Debbie Wilson and her husband, David; Lottie Pack and her husband, Steve; and Martha Hanvey and her husband, Rodger.
