Dora Edna Wylie of Boyd, Texas, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Visitation: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2025, Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Avenue, Lake Worth, Texas 76135.

Born May 13, 1952, Dora lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and compassion. The daughter of the late Clara Dean Williams and Gene Dewey Ivey, she was known for her generous heart and for her joyful, colorful spirit that brightened the lives of everyone around her.

A gifted hairdresser, Dora brought creativity, comfort, and confidence to countless people throughout her career. Her salon chair was more than a place of work, it was a space where friendships blossomed, stories were shared, and laughter flowed freely.

Dora found great happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time with her family, sharing stories with friends, and riding horses, an activity that gave her both peace and freedom throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved first son, Christopher Higginbotham.

Dora is survived by her loving children, Nickolas Wylie and his wife, Angela Wylie; and Athena Nechtman and her husband, Joshua Nechtman; her loving sisters, Judy Westmoreland and her husband, Richard Westmoreland, and Pru Ann Ivey; her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Dumke, Jakob Dumke, Reagan Lyons, Jade Calhoun, McKenzie Knoerr, Brett Higginbotham, Scott Higginbotham, Seth Higginbotham, and Cole Higginbotham; and great-grandchildren, Iris and Finn Higginbotham.

Dora was deeply loved by her family and friends. Her vibrant presence, kind heart, and infectious laughter will be profoundly missed.
