Dorothy Mae Lee, 97, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, in Arlington.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until service time. Committal will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Dorothy was born in Detroit, Texas, on August 26, 1918. She married Samuel Lee December 24, 1941, in Sydney, Nebraska. She enjoyed being an Air Force wife, the traveling and living in many countries throughout the world. Sam and Dorothy moved to Lake Worth in 1958 with their family.
Dorothy was a dedicated wife, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and doing crafts. She was a longtime member of Lake Worth United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bessie Mae Rutherford; brothers, Roy, Everett and Joy Rutherford; and a sister, Christine Michaels.
She is survived by her children, Karyn Kay Lee, Floyd Leonard Lee, Loyd Monroe Lee, Dennis Hartman Lee and Dale Wayne Lee; sisters, Francis Houser and Vera Richards; 10 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and 29 nieces and nephews.
