Eddie Marie Cook, 89, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeside Church of God. Interment will be at 3 p.m. in Mount Marion Cemetery in Strawn. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Biggers Funeral Home. Eddie was born August 14, 1923, in Strawn to Bud and Bess Wimberley. She was an electronics assembler for General Dynamics for several years before her retirement in 1983. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil I. Cook, on December 9, 2000. She is survived by her children, Cecil E. Cook, Kathryn Lucky and Gayle Moore; brothers, Paul Wimberley, Ted Wimberley and Gene Wimberley; sisters, Frankie Leach and husband, Ellis, Jackie Rexroat, Ruth Atkins and husband, Edward; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
