Edmond Joseph Davis, 89, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 7, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Edmonds name to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 269, Alexandria, Va., 22313. Edmond was retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years of service in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael. Survivors include his wife, Helen Davis; children, Ed Davis Jr., David Davis and wife, Vicki, and Kimberly Holder, and husband, Jim; sister, Claire Whalen; brother, Grant Davis; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
