Edward W. "Scooter" Sherif, 63, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Dido Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Biggers Funeral Home. Ed spent his entire life dedicated to others. He proudly served in the U.S. Army then devoted his life to being a police officer. He loved hunting, fishing, teaching and spending time with his family. A man loved by many that will not be forgotten. He is survived by his wife, Donna Jean Sherif; children, Clay Holt and wife, Veronica, and Cheryl Yount and husband, Mike; sister, Linda Butler and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Magon, Kirsten and Clay Jr. Holt and Dylon, Jacob, Chloe and Mason Yount.
