Edward L. Thomas, 90, a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 on his 73rd wedding anniversary. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Azleland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Edward was born May 7, 1925 in Seymour, and has been an Azle resident for 66 years. He is a World War II veteran, and he retired from Lennox after 27 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, and his great-granddaughter, Lily Babb. Edward is survived by his loving wife, Wilma Thomas; children, Charles Thomas and wife, Delma, Carolyn Ritchmond and husband, Billy, Johnny Thomas and wife, Gail, and Martha Geary and husband, Derrell; brother, Buddy Thomas; sister, Joy Thomas; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
