On the morning of November 13, 2023, Elizabeth Mazariegos, gained her angel wings and is in the loving arms of our heavenly father. She was surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.

Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 am, Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Fort Worth, TX followed by reception in the church dining hall.

Born on February 6, 1945, Elizabeth, who also went by Betty, was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and moved to the United States as a teenager.  She married Edmund and raised three beautiful daughters Priscilla, Rebecca, and Melissa.  She lit up the room with her presence, charm, and zest for life.  She had many talents and interests, like crochet, pottery, bowling, puzzles, music, and dancing, to name a few, and was an amazing cook.  Betty was a kind- hearted caretaker with a passion for helping others. Her home and heart were always open to be a friend, provide comfort, and give guidance, assistance, and pure love.   A devout Catholic and humanitarian, she generously volunteered and fundraised for children's organizations and her community.

Elizabeth was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.  She had a loving husband, Pedro, who adored her.  They enjoyed traveling, casino games and spending time with loved ones.  Elizabeth proudly raised three daughters and was a beacon of warmth and compassion, instilling in them her morals and values.  She leaves behind a legacy that will forever echo in the hearts of her adoring daughters, a testament to the profound impact she had on their lives.

Her grandchildren Isabel, Garrett, and Sunaya were the apple of her eye.  With her older grandchildren, Isabel, and Garrett, she had the opportunity to pick them up from school weekly, take them to dinner, and play games with them.  Those were their most memorable days with their grandmother, "Mita".  Her most recent granddaughter, Sunaya, though young, enjoyed playing games and facetiming.  She will always remember how much her Mita adored her and know that she will always be a part of her.

Elizabeth Mazariegos was preceded by her mother and father, Maria Luisa Sierra Morales and Fortunato Mazariegos Felice; her brother, Jorge Mazariegos; and sister, Blanca Alvarez.

She leaves behind her husband, Pedro Figueroa Codoceo; children, Priscilla Briscoe and husband, Gabe, Rebecca Coté, and Melissa Coté; grandchildren, Isabel Briscoe, Garrett Briscoe, and Sunaya Coté; and her siblings, Alfredo (Rita) Mazariegos, Guillermo (Lucrecia) Mazariegos, Humberto (Judith) Mazariegos, and Julieta Mazariegos.
